The Duke of Cambridge visits Jerash, the same site that The Duchess of Cambridge visited, aged 4, with her sister and father when the family lived in Jordan.
The Duke will then board RAF Voyager to fly to Israel this afternoon for the start of his historic visit.
William will become the first ever royal to travel to Israel on official business during it's 70 year history when he touches down later this afternoon at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.
He will later travel to Jerusalem’s historic King David Hotel, where he will stay for the remainder of the trip.

Mrs Longfellow-Stanshall, who married Stanshall in 1980, was his second wife and is the mother of his daughter, Silky, told the Mail that Stanshall 'admired Charles's views on the environment, architecture and alternative medicine', but never met him.
They were told by well-connected friends, some of whom 'spent time in rehab with Vivian', that Charles was a fan.
Stanshall died, aged 51, in an electrical fire at his flat in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1995.
Ted Hughes was Poet Laureate at the time of the reported phone call to Stanshall.
After Hughes' death in 1998, Sir Andrew Motion was appointed.
